Las Azules (Women in Blue) is a Mexican crime drama series created by Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi. Set in Mexico City in the early 1970s, the series follows four women who join the country’s first female police corps.

For Season Two, the brief was to refresh the existing main title sequence while preserving elements of the visual language established in Season One. The new sequence needed to introduce the darker tone of the story, exploring systemic corruption, state violence, media manipulation, and the student movements connected to the 1968 and 1971 massacres.

Some elements from Season One, created by the previous production, were retained and recontextualized, while new imagery was created through new shots and physical sets designed specifically for the second season. A central direction from the director was to keep these visuals as organic and real as possible, avoiding the artificial or overly digital feeling associated with AI and computer-generated imagery. Achieving this authenticity became one of the project's main creative challenges.

The final sequence bridges the two seasons, maintaining the identity of the original while introducing a darker, more fragmented visual language that reflects the new story. It establishes the atmosphere of Season Two and its central conflict: the struggle to uncover the truth within a system built to conceal it.
